8th Central European Biomass Conference 2026

The Austrian Biomass Association, the Styrian Chamber of Agriculture, BEST – Bioenergy and Sustainable Technologies GmbH, BOKU University and Montanuniversity Leoben are hosting the 8thCentral European Biomass Conference CEBC2026 in cooperation with Messe Congress Graz from 21st to 23rd of January, 2026. The world is facing a radical change. Since the last conference three years ago the consequences of climate change are being felt all worldwide and require immediate action.

The Central European Biomass Conference has been awarded with the Congress Award Graz several times and has maintained its internationally approved reputation consistently. Connecting more than 1,400 participants from over 50 nations, the triennially held conference belongs to the largest bioenergy industry events worldwide. Regional and international industry partners present their innovative and efficient solutions. The conference brings together science, politics, industry and society and invites people to exchange ideas. The simultaneously held “Häuslbauer-trade fair”, placing its emphasis on the provision of energy in the building sector, reaching out to approximately 40,000 visitors, offers an excellent addition to the conference. The 8th Central European Biomass Conference includes an extensive programme of excursions. Presentations by various companies link theory with practice.
